About Alyssa
Hi there! I’m Alyssa, and I’m so glad you’re here. Have you ever felt like you’re falling behind, stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, or simply unsure of your next step? If you’re reading this, chances are something in your life is asking for some extra care and attention. Life can feel heavy at times, and you don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from support. Choosing to explore therapy reflects your courage and commitment to growth.
As someone who understands what it’s like to sit on the other side of the therapy room, I know that starting therapy can feel intimidating. Maybe this feels like a big step, or one you’ve been considering for a while. My goal is to make this process feel as comfortable and approachable as possible, because you deserve a space where your story is met with care, curiosity, and compassion.
Especially passionate about working with clients experiencing:
- Grief and loss
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Big life changes & transitions
- Low self-esteem
- Social and relationship challenges
- Workplace stress
I am a Master’s-level intern currently working toward my Master of Social Work at Aurora University. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2024 and am pursuing licensure in the mental health field. I am passionate about meeting clients where they are and cultivating a space where you can show up as your authentic self.
My path into clinical mental health work comes from a desire to support, empower, and validate individuals navigating life’s challenges. I am especially passionate about working with clients experiencing grief and loss, anxiety, depression, life transitions, low self-esteem, social and relationship challenges, and workplace stress.
“Your nervous system deserves safety as much as you dreams deserve growth.
Both can exist together.”
–Dr. Stephen Porges
In our work together, I strive to provide a warm, supportive environment where we can explore your emotions, experiences, and therapeutic goals. I believe self-discovery happens most meaningfully in spaces that feel safe, nonjudgmental, and collaborative. My hope is that you feel seen, heard, and empowered as we work together, because you already have the strength to create meaningful change, and I would be honored to walk alongside you in that process.
