About Alayna
Do you give others grace but hold yourself to impossible standards? If self-doubt speaks louder than self-compassion, you’re in the right place. Hi, I’m Alayna, a therapist at Stronger Therapeutic Counseling Services and I’m here to help you change that narrative.
Whether you’re navigating a life transition, feeling weighed down by your past, or simply trying to find your place in the world, I’m passionate about helping you feel less alone on this journey.
No matter if you’re adjusting to a new phase of life, carrying old wounds, or seeking your path forward, my goal is to offer compassionate support every step of the way.
You might be feeling stuck, anxious, or unsure about what’s next—and that’s okay. Therapy is a place where you don’t have to have all the answers. It’s a place where we can unravel those feelings together. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can share your thoughts and fears, explore your emotions, and work through life’s challenges at your own pace.
As someone who’s been through the rollercoaster of post-grad life myself, I know how intimidating these transitions can feel. I believe in empowering my clients to navigate these changes with confidence, learning how to cope with the challenges while also growing and thriving.
I’m especially passionate about supporting clients who are navigating:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Self-esteem issues
- Phase-of-life transitions (high school/college/post-grad)
- Social challenges
- Relationship issues
- Trauma
- Disordered Eating
I joined the Stronger Team in August 2024 as a counseling intern and completed my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at National Louis University in June 2025. My journey into becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) stems from personal experience—I’ve witnessed both my own struggles with anxiety and those of family members, which has fueled my passion for reducing the stigma around mental health. I’m especially interested in working with individuals who feel weighed down by anxiety, depression, or phase-of-life transitions.
“Mental health is not a destination, but a process. It’s about how you drive, not where you’re going.” — Noam Shpancer
If you find yourself constantly overthinking, doubting your worth, or feeling overwhelmed by life’s expectations, I’d love to work with you. Together, we can work to quiet that inner critic that amplifies your fears and insecurities. My goal is to help you shift your focus to your strengths, improve your self-talk, and empower you to feel more connected to your authentic self.
I’m a firm believer that self-care is crucial for mental health, and I try to practice what I preach! I love getting my heart rate up with regular exercise, binge-watching crime documentaries, experimenting with new recipes, and spending quality time with my family and friends.
I look forward to meeting you and supporting you on your journey to feeling stronger, more connected, and more at peace with yourself.
