About Jori
Life puts a lot on our shoulders and if we don’t pay attention to it we can put a lot of pressure on ourselves as well. I believe therapy is a place for you to take a load off and not have to worry about judgment to really dig into what is on your mind and in your heart. It’s likely you feel wired to help, to nurture, to understand, and to give. Oftentimes, we do this for everyone else but ourselves. The therapeutic process allows you to unpack and learn the patterns you have been creating for yourself that are likely not serving you and possibly causing you to feel tired, irritable, stressed or frustrated and ultimately; STUCK.
I see therapy as the ultimate form of self-care.
Therapy is a place for you to unravel the week, acknowledge and share thoughts and feelings that seem scary to admit but you know are holding you back; holding you back from really feeling happy, connected, or even deserving.
If you are a parent of a child with special needs, define yourself as a high achiever, look like a total procrastinator on the outside and have been called lazy more times than you can remember; then I am the therapist for you. I work alongside my clients to help them best understand themselves and their patterns to find freedom and live life more aligned with how they want to show up and feel for it.

Especially passionate about working with clients experiencing:
- Medical Trauma
- School and Work Stress
- Parents and caregivers of children with intellectual disabilities
- Neurodiversity
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Trauma
- Relationship issues
- Self Esteem
I received my Master’s in Social Work in 2020 from Aurora University. I am a licensed social worker (LSW).
I joined the Stronger Team in 2022 after graduating from AU and working as a caseworker to support mentorship matches with Big Brothers Big Sisters. I am excited to be a part of the team at Stronger to work with clients on a deeper level to provide validation for their unique experiences and provide tools to live a rich life. I love being outdoors as much as possible and find that it helps me to feel refreshed, charged, and connected. Some of my favorite outdoor activities would be camping and canoeing.
I’ve learned to take care of myself by taking time to breathe, read, and be outdoors but I’m always flexible to learn new opportunities to care for myself and try them out as well.
